I spoke to a lady called Renee today.
And it reminded me of this song.
A song I last listened to 35 years ago.
I was reminded how the most brilliant singing voices.
Are the most unique singing voices.
And I was reminded what a great song this is, of course.
So here we go.
Renee.

Not being a permanently creative sort, I find these little creative catalysts all of the place and 50odd is definitely that for me – it makes me write my own 40odd version in my head which I’m grateful to Mychael for.
Anyway I wrote this one down about a feeling that sometimes stops me in my tracks.
Every now and then,
once in a while,
my eyes are opened,
only for a split second,
to a sensation beyond the norm.
Sometimes, a fleeting flash of comprehension
of the vastness of the universe
that renders me momentarily speechless
and vulnerable.
Sometimes, a pure understanding of forever,
realising someone is truly gone. FOREVER.
Only forever.
Sometimes, the beauty of my children,
An instant glimpse of past, present and future
Before them, with them, and without me.
An instant, excruciating comprehension of it all.
Just for that split second
And then its gone
and lost, for now.
and then every now and then,
once in a while,
my eyes are opened,
only for a split second,
to a sensation beyond the norm.
Hope you enjoy a little read of it.
Marvellous.
