If you have a great idea.
Don’t try to get people to recognise, make sense of or validate your great idea.
Just go with your great idea because you believe in it.
And because you believe in you.
Because whether you realise it or not.
You have no choice.
Great ideas break rules.
They have to.
Because following rules is ordinary and predictable.
And no great idea is ordinary and predictable.
Because breaking rules doesn’t make sense.
That’s why if you attempt to get people to recognise, make sense of and validate your great idea.
Because they can’t.
How on earth does someone make sense of something that, in order to be great, has to do something as nonsensical as breaking rules?
There’s only one thing you should do with a great idea.
And that’s do it.
